Introduction

Lion Rock -- The Character of a City, the Spirit of a Generation

"Though scattered to the corners of the earth, hand in hand we conquer adversity, Through sweat and perseverance, we inscribe Hong Kong's immortal legacy."

This familiar melody resonates with our hearts. Lion Rock, the towering guardian of Victoria Harbour, has witnessed the legendary transformation of Hong Kong from a fishing village to an international metropolis, embodying the city's indomitable spirit of "never giving up." This design converges the glory, culture, struggles, and joy of the city into a dazzling neon symphony:

I. Source of Inspiration – The Dialogue between Mountain and City

Lion Rock stands majestically, symbolizing the resilience and strength of the people in adversity; the shallow blue waters of Victoria Harbour flow like silk, signifying the vitality of the land embraced by the sky and sea; the glory of Olympic gold medals (in windsurfing and fencing), along with the brilliance of film and music, narrate the pride of this city where "small place, great achievements" prevail.

II. Landmarks and Festivals – The Pulse of Culture

The historic Clock Tower and Golden Bauhinia Square, the Arts Palace of the Xiqu Centre and the Palace Museum, the cutting-edge Space Museum, the vibrant Kai Tak Sports Park, and the star-studded Avenue of Stars all showcase the rich cultural tapestry of this city. From the solemn Tian Tan Buddha to the fireworks of Wong Tai Sin Temple, from the drumbeats of Dragon Boat Festival to the fiery Mid-Autumn Fire Dragon, illustrations capture the unique rhythm of "East meets West" in the city.

III. Hand-drawn Art – Conveying the Heart and Soul of the City with Warm Touches

It’s the tea shop owner who persistently brews milk tea in the early morning, the Olympic athlete wielding that sword after years of honing skills, and the countless footsteps of people hustling through the Lion Rock Tunnel for a living. Through delicate hand-drawn lines, tradition and the present, oriental and occidental, and the interdependence of humanity and nature, through anthropomorphism, crystallizing the essence of the city's daily life and its enduring spirit in a way that resonates deeply with the heart.
